2020 TIMELINE

Hurricane Sally – Wednesday, September 16th

September 19 – Community Distribution Emergency Disaster Center opened in Building B

September 20 – Worship Service on the Lawn – North parking lot

September 22 - Church Office moved to Coffee Shop with many volunteers helping

September 26 - Primary Insurance adjuster on the ground,

                             met with Tommy Talbert, Gary Pitts and Paula Dumas

October 2 – Community Distribution Center closed

                       Volunteer Registration Center opened in Building B

October 4 – Church Services resumed inside Building B Auditorium

October 8 – Building Consultant on campus for Drone pictures

                       – evaluate roof and outside damage

October 8 - Bread Ministry restarted

October 12-15   Building Consultant team on campus for 3-D Video walk through

                              of entire campus – inside all buildings only

October 16 – MDO reopened in Building B

October 19-21  Business Consultant on campus for evaluating Contents (personal Property)                                   of Building A, including offices, sanctuary, MDO and Education wing

October 23 – Structural Engineer on campus to evaluate all buildings

                          – meeting with Tommy Talbert and Paula Dumas

Oct 30 & Nov 2 - SBA Evaluator did walk through on our campus'

Steeple Comprised
Sanctuary Water Damage (flooring, ceiling, walls)
Class Rooms & Offices Water Damage (flooring, walls, & furniture)
Roofing, some damage.

Bldg B
Minor damages, some roof leaks & Bldg trim.

Bldg C
Water damage, floors, some roofing, Bldg Trim

Campus
Several trees down on main campus & Parking Lot Light Fixtures Comprised

Playground equipment damaged – tree on equipment

Power went out sometime during the storm and came back on

After the Storm, a Trustee assessment was made & decision made to remove all water damaged carpet to curtail further damage from mold/mildew. Furniture moved from class rooms w/ carpet to hallways w/ no carpet.
This effort was discussed with our Insurance Agent & Policy Holder.
We were advised that we could not begin making repairs until the Adjuster has approved needed repairs.
